Manny Machado Tallies Three Hits On Tuesday

4 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado had a big game on Tuesday, going 3-for-4 with a walk, a double, two RBI and two runs. Machado already has four multi-hit games in September. It's been a phenomenal bounce-back season for Machado, who is slashing .308/.376/.586 with 12 home runs, 37 RBI and 35 runs on the year. His .962 OPS on the season is far superior to his .796 OPS from 2019. Machado has also raised his barrel rate from 8% in 2019 to 11.9% this year and his strikeout rate is down to 15.5% this year after a 19.4% strikeout rate last year. It's certainly encouraging to see that Machado still has elite fantasy potential in him. He should end up being a high fantasy draft pick once again come Spring 2021.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
