6 years agoHouston Astros catcher Martin Maldonado has been a positive asset since being acquired by the Angels. He has brought a little more power behind the plate than what Max Stassi was brings to the table and Maldonado is slugging .493 with four doubles and four home runs in over his last 29 games. Maldonado does not hit for a high average and his at-bats should take a small hit with the return of veteran Brian McCann moving forward. But his addition has been a pleasant surprise and should be a contributor for the rest of the regular season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
