Matt DiBenedetto A Risky Play That Could Pay Off At Darlington
5 years agoMatt DiBenedetto will be making his first start at Darlington with Wood Brothers Racing. In five starts at the “track too tough to tame,” DiBenedetto has one top-10 finish, which was a finish of eighth last season. DiBenedetto scored positive place differential in all but one of his starts at Darlington and is currently having his best season to date with three top-15 finishes in the last three races. DiBenedetto is in the best equipment of his Cup Series career with Wood Brothers Racing and has improved on his Darlington results over time. DiBenedetto’s starting position (third) makes him a risk to use this week, but his price and equipment, which will allow him to finish in the top 10 with a chance at placing in the top five, make him worth considering for Darlington.
