7 years agoThe medical holdup in the trade that would send Baltimore Orioles shortstop Manny Machado to the Dodgers is not over LA's top outfield prospect Yusniel Diaz, who is the key piece in the deal from the Dodgers side. The chances that the two sides move past this snag are better since the medical issues are over a complementary piece. Both teams should be able to work this out, and Machado should join the Dodgers as their shortstop for the start of the second half. However, it gives the Phillies and/or Brewers a little window to perhaps sweeten their offers for Machado. Stay tuned.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
