7 years agoThe New York Mets are discussing closer Jeurys Familia with other teams. There is nothing imminent right now, but Familia is likely to be traded well before the deadline of July 31, with seven to eight teams showing varying degrees of interest in him. Familia has pitched much better of late and has a 2.88 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 17 saves and 43 strikeouts in 40 2/3 innings this year. He might not be in a closing role if he heads to a new team, though, which would hurt his fantasy value tremendously. If he leaves, Robert Gsellman would be the likely successor in the ninth. If you're chasing saves, it wouldn't be a bad idea to stash Gsellman now.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
