Michael Thomas Officially Misses Practice Thursday

3 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas (ankle, hamstring) is in doubt for Week 7 against the Panthers after missing practice on Thursday due to a new hamstring injury suffered in practice. Thomas suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 1 and could now miss his fifth straight game. He was benched in Week 5 for disciplinary reasons after punching a teammate in practice. New Orleans' offense has been up and down without their All-Pro receiver in the lineup, but quarterback Drew Brees did find Emmanuel Sanders for a career-high 12 catches in Week 5. Sanders will be a WR3 with upside if Thomas is forced to miss another game. But if Thomas is active, he's a must-start WR1.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
