6 years agoBaltimore Orioles relief pitcher Mike Wright picked up the first save of his career in Saturday's 5-3 game against the Yankees. Fellow reliever Mychal Givens pitched the eighth inning and Richard Bleier started the ninth inning up 5-1, but proceeded to give up a solo home run, a double and a single. Wright entered the game with a three-run lead, one out and runners on first and third. He struck out Giancarlo Stanton, gave up an RBI single and recorded a second strikeout to end the game. Givens ended last season as the team's closer and while the O's may not use a traditional closer this season, fantasy owners' best bet would be on Givens to see the most save opportunities until further notice. This is probably a situation to avoid altogether, though.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
