4 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski (hand) is in the Opening Day lineup and will bat second against Mariners starter Marco Gonzales. Yastrzemski had exited Monday's Spring Training game after being hit in the hand by a pitch, but it was not considered serious and he had been listed as day-to-day. He had a career year in 2020, slashing .297/.400/.568 with 10 home runs and 35 RBI in 54 games, and he had continued that success this spring where he hit .300 with a 1.024 OPS in 15 games. Managers will be happy to see Yastrzemski back in the lineup, as he looks to build off of last season's success.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
