Mitch Haniger Has Yet To Resume Baseball Activities

4 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger has yet to resume any baseball activities while recovering from a second core surgery and a back procedure. The Mariners have told Haniger to "not push it" and to focus on getting healthy. Haniger was already very likely to miss the beginning of the 2020 season, but this news raises concerns of him playing at all in the shortened season. At this time, fantasy owners shouldn't make Haniger a priority on draft day as the Mariners will have no reason to rush him back due to their surplus of talented outfielders. The Mariners look to have Mallex Smith, Kyle Lewis and Jake Fraley to open up the 2020 season in the outfield with top prospects Jarred Kelenic and Julio Rodriguez waiting in the wing.--Steve McCarthy - RotoBaller
