Mitch Keller Struggles In Start Against Miami
3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Mitch Keller struggled on Friday against the Marlins, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out two over two innings of work in a 9-2 victory. Keller threw 27 of 45 pitches for strikes in the outing, as he posted his shortest start of the season. He had looked like he might be figuring things out on the mound after tossing five shutout innings against Colorado in his last start, but once again we see the inconsistency that has plagued Keller throughout his career. For now, it's difficult to imagine any format in which Keller should be rostered.
