Nick Chubb Dealt With Rib Injury In Week 17 Loss
3 years agoCleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said running back Nick Chubb (ribs) dealt with a rib injury in the first half and pushed through it. He rushed 12 times for 58 yards and didn't catch his only target in Monday night's 26-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 26-year-old's rib injury is reportedly why the Browns limited Chubb's workload on Monday. He logged his third-fewest carries of the season in the Week 17 loss. The severity of Chubb's injured ribs is unknown at this time, and he's considered day-to-day. Cleveland has nothing to play for and could rest the star running back for the regular-season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals. D'Ernest Johnson and Kareem Hunt (ankle) would lead Cleveland's backfield if Chubb cannot suit up. Stay tuned.
