Nikola Jokic Plays 65 Minutes, Scores 33 Points In Game 3
6 years agoDenver Nuggets power forward/center Nikola Jokic provided a monster triple-double, but it was not enough in the 140-137 loss to the Trail Blazers in Game 3 on Friday. Jokic scored 33 points while collecting 18 rebounds and dishing out 14 assists with a steal and two blocks. His 65 minutes played were the most since Bob Cousy way back in 1953, and the big man played 44 straight minutes to close out the game. Jokic did not provide much in the overtimes and even missed a crucial free throw in the dying moments that would send the game to a fifth overtime. Either way, Jokic has been a superstar these playoffs and will be looking forward to a day to recover on Saturday before Sunday's Game 4.
