Noah Syndergaard Expected To Undergo Tommy John Surgery

4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard (elbow) has a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow and is expected to undergo Tommy John surgery in the near future, according to sources. The surgery will keep Syndergaard out until April of 2021 at the earliest, and his rehab is likely to stretch into the summer months of next season. You'll obviously want to avoid Thor if you've yet to have your fantasy baseball draft. It's tough news for the hard-throwing right-hander, as he was looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2019 campaign that saw him post a career-high 4.28 ERA and give up a league-high 94 earned runs.
