Noah Syndergaard Has Quality Start In No-Decision
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard picked up a quality start in the 4-3 win over the Miami Marlins on Wednesday, but he was hit with a no-decision for his efforts. The hard-throwing right-hander allowed two earned runs on six hits while striking out four and walking two on the night. The 29-year-old allowed a lot of loud contact, so he might have been fortunate in this one, but his fantasy managers will take it either way. It was also a nice bounce-back performance after he allowed four earned runs on 11 hits in five innings of work in his first start for the team on Aug. 4 against the Washington Nationals. Overall in 2022, Thor is 6-8 with a 3.96 ERA, a 1.27 WHIP and a 70:24 K:BB in 91 innings over 17 starts for the Phillies and Los Angeles Angels.
