7 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles are expected to receive only minor league prospects in return for shortstop Manny Machado from the Los Angeles Dodgers, barring a last-minute change, according to sources. With the All-Star game being played on Tuesday, the two teams will wait until Wednesday to make this deal official. The Dodgers could be giving up outfield prospect Yusniel Diaz (No. 4 overall prospect in the organization), who homered twice in the Futures Game on Sunday, pitcher Dustin May (No. 10) and middle infielder Gavin Lux (No. 12), but it remains to be seen which prospects will be included. Either way, the Dodgers may be giving up a lot for a two-month rental in Machado, who will be a free agent after the season.
