Patriots Placing James Ferentz On COVID-19 List

4 years agoThe New England Patriots are placing center James Ferentz on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday, according to a source. The Patriots are still on schedule to face the Broncos in Week 6 on Sunday, but if the game winds up being played, quarterback Cam Newton will be taking snaps from someone else. It's something to keep an eye on, but it shouldn't deter fantasy managers from considering Newton as an upside QB1 in his return after a positive COVID-19 test himself. Denver's D has allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to the QB position and are without their top playmakers on that side of the ball.
