Philipp Grubauer Stuns Washington With 37-Save Win
3 years agoSeattle Kraken goaltender Philipp Grubauer got off to an awful start this NHL season. Against the Washington Capitals on Sunday night, the Seattle goalie stopped 37 of 39 shots in a 5-2 win. That included saving all ten Washington shots on Seattle's penalty kill. This was a game where Alex Ovechkin saw 7:42 of power-play time and yet Grubauer stood tall. Granted, Washington had come in playing its third game in short order but nonetheless, maybe this is a small turning point for Grubauer perhaps.
