Randall Cobb Goes Without a Catch in Second Preseason Game
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb had no receptions against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night. Green Bay’s started didn’t see much action in the game, so Cobb’s lack of production isn’t the biggest concern. Still it would be nice to see Cobb do something. Many people are projecting Cobb out as a sleeper, but the 27-year-old receiver hasn’t been too productive in recent years. Cobb plays primarily out of the slot. He has exceptional hands and is explosive and dangerous after the catch. He can exploit a defense that is in zone coverage but has struggled to separate from press man-coverage. Until Green Bay can make a defense hesitant to jam their receivers, there should be some doubt about Cobb.
