4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Richie James Jr. (wrist) broke a bone in his wrist while training recently and is likely to be sidelined at least two months, according to sources. This comes after it was announced that Deebo Samuel suffered a broken foot and could be a candidate for the Physically Unable to Perform list to begin the 2020 season. James could be in that boat as well and be forced to miss the first six games of the season. The 24-year-old would've had an increased opportunity for playing time with Samuel sidelined early in the season after catching six passes for 165 yards and a score last year. James was mostly used on special teams, though, and won't be much of a fantasy option now in deeper leagues. San Fran's receiving room is thinning out quickly, giving rookie Brandon Aiyuk, Kendrick Bourne, Jalen Hurd, Dante Pettis and Trent Taylor more opportunities early in the year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
