Ryan Fitzpatrick Out For Personal Reasons Friday

4 years agoMiami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was out of practice on Friday for what head coach Brian Flores termed "personal reasons," giving rookie Tua Tagovailoa and Josh Rosen more repetitions. Fitzpatrick is not going on the COVID-19 list, but Flores was non-committal on how long Fitzpatrick would be away. Unless the grizzled signal-caller is away for an extended absence, it shouldn't hurt his chances of being under center for the start of the regular season. Although Tagovailoa is the franchise's future at the position, Fitzpatrick is expected to begin the year as the starter after he impressed in 2019. But the upside is very minimal and he'll have a short leash throughout the year. Fitzpatrick will be a matchup-based, low-end QB2 in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
