Saquon Barkley Cleared To Play Against the Chargers
3 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) has been cleared to play in Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. He was removed from the injury report and is all systems go for Week 14. Barkley has been ineffective this season, averaging 3.8 yards per carrying on 85 attempts. He has been involved in the passing game recently by catching at least six passes in two of his last three games. The former No.2 overall pick faces a Chargers defense that ranks ninth in a rush DVOA but allows the most yards per game. Giants backup QB Mike Glennon cleared concussion protocols and will start Sunday's game, expect Barkley to see a fair share of hand-offs in Week 14. The 24-year-old is a high-end RB2 against a Chargers defense that has allowed the third-most PPR points to running backs in 2021.
