2 years agoA scan of Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Shane Baz's (elbow) sprained right elbow "went well," according to manager Kevin Cash. However, the chances of him returning this year seem unlikely since he will have to do two weeks of plyometric exercises before he resumes throwing, with a lengthy build-up needed. In other injury news for the Rays, reliever J.P. Feyereisen (shoulder) is headed for an MRI exam on Thursday after being shut down from playing catch recently due to discomfort. Right-hander Matt Wisler (neck) received injections to try and relax his stiff neck. Tyler Glasnow (elbow) said his Wednesday bullpen session went well, and he remains on schedule to start throwing live batting practice on Aug. 20. Lefty Josh Fleming (oblique) is throwing bullpen sessions and will start facing hitters on Tuesday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
