3 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Shane McClanahan allowed three runs on five hits and three walks with four strikeouts over three innings of work against the Nationals. After posting three starts in a row where he pitched at least five innings, McClanahan has now posted back-to-back outings in which he failed to complete four innings. In his last two starts against the Yankees and Nationals now, McClanahan has allowed seven runs on 10 hits and five walks over 6 1/3 innings while striking out 10. The strikeouts have not been an issue for McClanahan this season, but pretty much everything else has been as he owns a 4.11 xERA (46th percentile), .247 xBA (43rd percentile) and 10.2 percent barrel rate (25th percentile). He'll have another tough start in his next outing against the White Sox.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
