4 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Shed Long Jr. walked twice, scored a run and stole his second base of the season in Monday's loss to the Astros. Though it's great to see Long steal bases from the leadoff spot in Seattle, it's not something he has been consistent with. Long did steal 21 and 19 bases in the minor leagues in 2016 and 2018 respectively, but since then has just six total steals including the two in 2020. If Long is able to get back to stealing bases, he could prove to be useful in a very shallow second base position this year and be a decent source of runs.--Steve McCarthy - RotoBaller
