3 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Shed Long Jr. is in the starting lineup for his season debut on Tuesday, as he will bat sixth in the lineup against Matthew Boyd and the Tigers. Long had missed the first two months of the season due to a stress fracture in his shin, but he looked good in his rehab assignment at Triple-A, where he slashed .323/.417/.516 with one home run, two RBI and eight runs scored over seven games. Managers should keep an eye on how he performs tonight, as he could be a good add off the waiver-wire if he swings a hot bat right out the gates.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
