3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Spencer Turnbull (forearm) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Saturday with right forearm tightness, according to Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic. Turnbull exited his start on Friday night with forearm tightness, and manager A.J. Hinch said that as of Saturday morning there is no timetable for his return and he will be undergoing further evaluations today. Obviously this is not a good sign for Turnbull, who has been in the midst of a breakout season where he has gone 4-2 with a 2.88 ERA, 0.980 WHIP and 21.9 percent strikeout rate. The Tigers have recalled Bryan Garcia in a corresponding move, and managers should keep a close eye on further updates to his condition.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
