Stephon Gilmore Tests Positive For COVID-19

4 years agoNew England Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore was the only player on the team to test positive for COVID-19 from Tuesday's round of testing, according to a source. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year joins quarterback Cam Newton on the COVID-19 list, and Gilmore isn't expected to practice on Wednesday. At this point, it's highly unlikely that Gilmore will be cleared to play in Week 5 against the Broncos. Still, even if Gilmore misses this weekend's game, the Patriots Defense should be considered a strong fantasy unit against a Broncos team that remains depleted of their offensive weapons. Wide receiver Courtland Sutton (knee) is out for the year and they might also be without quarterback Drew Lock (shoulder) and tight end Noah Fant (ankle).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
