7 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs (groin) has been activated from the 10-day disabled list and will start against the Mariners on Thursday. As a result, starter Jaime Barria was optioned to Single-A Inland Empire. It's likely that Barria will be back with the team soon. The return of Skaggs couldn't have come at a better time for the Halos with Garrett Richards' (elbow) future in doubt. Skaggs has been great this year, going 6-5 with a 2.64 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 9.8 K/9 in 16 starts. The matchup isn't ideal, but if you own Skaggs in season-long leagues, you probably aren't benching him.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
