6 years agoThe Colorado Rockies have summoned pitcher Yency Almonte from Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday. Almonte is likely going to slot into a relief role since Colorado's bullpen continues to be atrocious overall. Unfortunately, Almonte was not very effective in Triple-A, racking up a 6.27 ERA this season. He also allowed home runs in all four of his most recent starts, but with the state of the Rockies bullpen, they've reached the point of throwing just about any new body out there to see if it works.
