7 years agoThe New York Mets activated outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (hip) from the disabled list on Friday and optioned first baseman Dominic Smith to Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move. Cespedes will make his return to the lineup Friday night as the designated hitter for the first time since early May. He's been disappointing for fantasy owners because of all the time missed, but he can carry a team for weeks if he's hot. Get him back into all lineups immediately. Smith, who hit just .183 with one homer and one RBI in 71 at-bats this time around, has quickly faded as one of the team's top prospects.
