Week 13 Booms: Martavis Bryant, T.Y. Hilton, Donte Moncrief

There are very few NFL games that can provide fantasy value across the board. We’re usually lucky to get two or three studs but the rare game that provides fantasy value for just about every player on both teams is a gift. Consider it an early Christmas present on Sunday Night Football when the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Indianapolis Colts. With the exception of Frank Gore, all of the usual starting caliber fantasy stars are likely to have big games in a high-scoring affair. Neither team is known for their defense this season and both field very capable offenses.

Everyone is starting Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown without a second thought so let’s skip down to other names bound for big performances on Sunday. Martavis Bryant has quietly been one of the top wide receivers in fantasy following his return from a suspension. Since his regular season debut this year, the only wide receivers to average more standard fantasy points per game than Bryant are Julio Jones and DeAndre Hopkins. That’s it. You may not think of Bryant as a WR1 due to his reputation of being inconsistent with boom or bust potential. The story going under the radar is Bryant has become very reliable for fantasy purposes. Bryant has delivered 100 receiving yards and/or a touchdown in five of his six games this season. This is with the quarterback carousel in between Roethlisberger’s injuries. Don’t second guess starting Bryant in traditional fantasy and be sure to make him one of your first selections in daily fantasy. Bryant is relatively cheap and has great value. For his price, Bryant just needs one play to get your salary's worth and will likely contribute more. The matchup against the Colts will see Roethlisberger throw very often and Bryant is a WR1 here.

The Indianapolis Colts should also be in for a big passing game on Sunday. Pittsburgh has a very good run defense but they’re quite weak against the pass. The Steelers are giving up the fourth most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and Matt Hasselbeck has been playing well in place of Andrew Luck. T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief both had outstanding games last week and are beginning to form great chemistry with Hasselbeck. The running game will be non-existent and Indianapolis will be forced to pass all night long. You can safely trust Hasselbeck to exploit a good matchup for fantasy purposes and that will lead to huge days for the star Colts wide receivers.
