5 months agoMinnesota Twins first baseman Miguel Sano has made a reputation as a boom-or-bust DFS asset, which has been extenuated by his major league-leading 23.4% barrel rate and 95.4-mph average exit velocity, as well as his 43.7% strikeout rate. But as it's likely to happen with a slugger boasting those metrics, Sano has gone ice-cold as of late, striking out in 13 of his last 28-bats with just three hits in his last seven games and nine in his last 15. Season-long fantasy managers that account for strikeouts find it tough to roster a player like Sano, yet he continues to hold sizable GPP upside both over the final weekend of the season and during the playoffs due to his immense power potential.--Jesse Borek - RotoBaller

6 months agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Eddie Rosario and first baseman/designated hitter Miguel Sano were both back among the starting nine for Tuesday’s contest against Chicago and rookie right-hander Dane Dunning. Rosario (elbow) and Sano (neck) were both out of the mix Monday due to their respective ailments, with the club’s lineup looking like its usual self Tuesday, sans Marwin Gonzalez (illness), who cedes way to rookie Travis Blankenhorn for his first MLB start. Rosario and Sano are both season-long assets in virtually every league over the final week-plus of the regular season and can be utilized as a part of a stack versus Dunning and White Sox pitching.--Jesse Borek - RotoBaller
