WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks (9/24/20): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

The playoffs continue to roll along in the WNBA. On Tuesday, the Aces evened their series with the Connecticut Sun, who lost Alyssa Thomas to a shoulder injury that will keep her out for at least Thursday's game. Seattle also survived a close one against the Lynx, winning 88-86 on a buzzer-beater from Alysha Clark. Can the Storm take a 2-0 lead? Will Minnesota get Sylvia Fowles back for this one?

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 9/24/20. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

WNBA - DFS Guards

DeWanna Bonner (G, Connecticut Sun) – vs Las Vegas Aces (DK: $10,700, FD: $8,000)

With no Alyssa Thomas for most of Game 2, Bonner played the entire 40 minutes, scoring 23 points on 10-for-26 shooting and adding seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block. For Connecticut to snatch a 2-1 lead in this series, Bonner will have to have the basketball in her hands as much as possible. Expect another high-volume shooting night, giving her immense upside as long as her efficiency doesn't drop off.

Jewell Loyd (G, Seattle Storm) – vs Minnesota Lynx (DK: $9,700, FD: $6,900)

With Sue Bird and Jordin Canada both likely not at full strength in this series, a lot has to fall to Jewell Loyd. She answered the call in Game 1, scoring 25 points plus adding six rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocks. The Lynx have some good inside defense, but if there's a place they can give up big games, it's to the backcourt, as Crystal Dangerfield lacks the ideal size you want in a perimeter defender. Loyd took advantage of the matchups last game and should again.

Jasmine Thomas (G, Connecticut Sun) – vs Las Vegas Aces (DK: $7,200, FD: $6,300)

Scoring has to come from somewhere other than DeWanna Bonner with no AT and, well, Jasmine Thomas is probably the most likely candidate. She had 31 points when Bonner struggled in Game 1, and while Vegas mostly kept her from being a factor on Tuesday,we've seen Thomas impact this series. Of the guards in this price range, I think her upside makes her the best play.

WNBA - DFS Forwards

A'ja Wilson (F, Las Vegas Aces) – vs Connecticut Sun (DK: $11,400 FD: $8,200)

The Aces win this series if they just let the MVP cook. She had 29 points in Game 2, going 13-for-19 from the floor and also adding seven rebounds, three assists, a steal, and, umm...seven blocks. Without AT there to impede her defensively, Wilson should be able to get whatever shot she wants, even with the Sun doubling her a lot of the time. Wilson can make a major impact on both ends of the floor and also has double-double upside.

Beatrice Mompremier (F, Connecticut Sun) – vs Las Vegas Aces (DK: $5,200, FD: $5,000)

Mompremier played 20 minutes in Game 2 and while she scored just two points on 1-for-5 shooting, she made her presence felt in other ways, grabbing nine rebounds and blocking three shots. She also fouled out. With no Thomas, Mompremier without foul trouble could be on the floor for almost 30 minutes on Thursday night, offering huge upside at a low salary. She won't score a ton, but get a few easy looks at the basket plus a shot at double-digit rebounds and multiple blocks and you have a really solid fantasy score.

Carolyn Swords (F, Las Vegas Aces) – vs Connecticut Sun (DK: $4,700, FD: $3,200)

Swords continues to start at center despite some defensive limitations because the Aces only really have three bigs they trust. Swords played 21 minutes in Game 2 and while I can see a plausible scenario where that shrinks to 15 or so in Game 3, she's still someone who can get a couple of easy looks in the paint and grab some rebounds. I love Swords as a low-priced punt play, someone who can have a solid game and help you place high in a GPP or who could struggle and not hurt you too much because the rest of your lineup is filled with stud players. It's a risky strategy, but maybe it will pay off on a slate with only two games.

DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (9/24/20): NBA DFS Lineups

We'll be focusing on the Thursday night Showdown slate on DraftKings, which will feature the Los Angeles Lakers against the upstart and confident Denver Nuggets in game four of the series. Remember, there aren't positions in these contests but rather a "Captain" who scores 1.5x points and five utility slots to pick out. There are a ton of great tournaments on DraftKings tonight so go reserve those entries while you can!

Here are our daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/24/20. You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before lock.

DraftKings DFS Captains

LeBron James ($19,200 CPT, $12,800 UTIL)

I slightly prefer James at the Captain slot in tonight's matchup, and it's a combination of projected rostership and actual DFS projections. Jokic and Murray are certain to garner inflated rostership tonight after they went for 45.5 and 61.5 DK points, respectively, and the Nuggets won game three. That makes me love LeBron, who had 69 DK points with a 30/10/11 triple-double and four blocks+steals in the game three loss. He holds a team-high 30.3% usage rate in the playoffs and he's sure to be aggressive in this one after the tough loss. LeBron has a very high probability of finishing with the slate's top DFS score and as such, he should be your highest exposed player in the Captain slot.

Nikola Jokic ($18,000 CPT, $12,000 UTIL)

You'll have to eat some chalk here as the Joker will be very popular, but chalk needs to be eaten on Showdown slates. His 29.6% playoff usage rate leads Murray's by 2.5%, and he has spiked for games of 67, 75, and 58 DK points in his last five games. Jokic was a bit more muted in game three with just 45.5 DK points, but if that's the floor we're looking at, we should be all over Jokic in this spot (he had 31.5 DK points in game one but saw just 25 minutes in the blowout). He's going to continue to be the focal point of the offense and having Jamal Murray cooking only serves to increase Jokic's chances of being the optimal Captain play tonight. The pair is one of the best-correlated duos's in the NBA in terms of DFS production.

Anthony Davis ($18,600 CPT, $12,400 UTIL)

AD was a total bust at his salary with just 31.5 DK points in game three. He shot 9-for-17 (0-for-4 from three) and only had two rebounds, one assist, and a steal to go along with three turnovers. We know he's capable of posting big games but he simply hasn't put up a monster effort in quite some time (last 60+ DK point game was on 8/29 against POR). He has a 28.6% usage rate in the playoffs as he and LeBron are the clear driving forces of the team, and he has popped for 51.75 and 56 DK points in this series already. He's a nice guy to plug in with the other three players likely getting more Captain rostership, but just know that the matchup isn't great against the perimeter-heavy Jokic and AD's ceiling has been elusive and tough to pinpoint.

Other Options: Jamal Murray ($15,900 CPT, $10,600 UTIL)

Large-field GPP Play(s): Jerami Grant ($8,400 CPT, $5,600 UTIL)

DraftKings DFS Utility

Paul Millsap ($6,000 UTIL)

Millsap is cheaper than MPJ, but his minutes are more secure as he played 28 and 31 minutes in the last two games of the series. Game one was a blowout in the Lakers favor and Michael Porter Jr. saw 29 minutes (to Millsap's 21) and had a 35.5 DK point game. The Lakers are favored by six in this one, so my inclination is that the game will stay somewhat close and that should result in Millsap seeing his full run of minutes. He's not a ceiling play by any means as he holds a 16.3% usage rate in the playoffs, but he's capable of providing great value if he can get over the 20 DK point plateau.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope ($4,600 UTIL)

I know, I know...it's gross. However, you won't find a more consistent source of minutes in this price range (outside of the pitiful Gary Harris) and that's what we're looking for on slates like this. KCP has actually been playing fine, shooting 58.3% (53.3% from three) and averaging 22 DK points per game in this series. He'll see right around 30 minutes and although his usage isn't high (14.2% in the playoffs), he'll be counted on heavily for his defense and for knocking down the open looks from deep that an AD/LeBron-led offense affords him. He's a solid, if uninspiring, utility option on tonight's slate.

Torrey Craig ($2,000 UTIL)

In order to fit in one of those top-four players in the Captain slot, along with one or two other studs, we'll need to select a player like Craig. He's a complete flier, there's no doubt about that, but here's what we do know. He has played 23 and 15 minutes the last two games and scored exactly 11 DK points in each. For the season, Craig held a 12.9% usage rate and a 0.69 fpts/min rate. He's obviously not a heavily involved player, but we have to consider him at his price and with a juicy minutes projection. Projecting him for 19 minutes tonight puts him at 13.11 DK points at his per-minute rate, and any variance above that number will help our DFS lineups immensely. Craig is just one of those players you'll need to take shots on in a one-game slate.

Other Options: Jerami Grant ($5,600 UTIL), Michael Porter Jr. ($6,800 UTIL) if you're projecting Denver to be playing catch-up for most of the game, Kyle Kuzma ($5,200 UTIL), Danny Green ($4,800 UTIL)

Large-field GPP Play(s): Alex Caruso ($4,400 UTIL), Gary Harris ($4,200 UTIL)

WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks (9/22/20): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

So, we're still not sure if tonight's Lynx/Storm Game 1 is happening, as Sunday's game was postponed after multiple Storm players had inconclusive positive COVID tests. They've got to test negative two days in a row to be cleared to play, so we'll know more later today about whether or not it will go on.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 9/22/20.

Bonner really struggled with her shot in Game 1, going 2-for-12 with eight points. But Bonner is still the highest upside guard on this slate of games, a high-volume scorer who is always a threat to record a double-double and who takes on a solid playmaking role and had four assists in the first game of the series. If you want to pay up at guard, Bonner's the best option to pay up for.

Natisha Hiedeman (G, Connecticut Sun) – vs Las Vegas Aces (DK: $4,900, FD: $4,600)

I think this is a good slate to go cheap at guard.

Hiedeman's role hasn't been super consistent, but she played 17 minutes off the bench in the first game of the series, scoring 14 points on 4-for-7 shooting and adding three rebounds and three assists. Could she wind up playing four minutes and being a non-factor in this one? Sure, but she was effective enough in that first game to likely earn minutes in this one, giving her solid upside at a really cheap salary.

Sugar Rodgers (G, Las Vegas Aces) – vs Connecticut Sun (DK: $4,000, FD: $4,500)

Game 1 showed us that the Aces really need three-point shooting. Could that lead to a larger role for Sugar Rodgers, one of their only three-point threats, in this one? Maybe! Rodgers missed all four of her shot attempts in Game 1, but she averaged 2.9 three-point attempts per game in the regular season. She took five or more attempts four times in the regular season. Look, Rodgers could get you nothing in this contest, but if the Aces are desperate for shooting, she'll get some minutes and some opportunities. I'm fine rolling the dice on that possibility considering her low salary.

WNBA - DFS Forwards

A'ja Wilson (F, Las Vegas Aces) – vs Connecticut Sun (DK: $11,400 FD: $8,200)

For the Aces to win this series, 2020 MVP A'ja Wilson has to keep being A'ja Wilson. She did that in Game 1 but didn't get enough help from the rest of the team, scoring 19 points on 8-for-15 shooting and grabbing nine rebounds plus blocking a pair of shots. The Connecticut defense is scary, but Wilson's touch near the basket and her role on this offense make her an incredibly high-floor, high-ceiling DFS play. She was the WNBA's best player in the regular season and head coach Bill Laimbeer is going to give her ample chances to prove she deserved her MVP award.

Alyssa Thomas (F, Connecticut Sun) – vs Las Vegas Aces (DK: $11,200, FD: $7,500)

PLAYOFF ALYSSA THOMAS.

Through three games, Thomas is averaging 21.7 points on 52.1 percent shooting with 8.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists and 2.7 steals per game. She's even shooting 93.8 percent from the free throw line despite having two torn shoulder labrums.

How do you stop her?

Maybe the key is that you just don't and you focus your defensive energy elsewhere if you're Vegas, shutting down players like Jasmine Thomas instead. Alyssa Thomas is going to get her numbers in this one, regardless of how the game actually goes.

Sylvia Fowles (F, Minnesota Lynx) – vs Seattle Storm (DK: $7,800, FD: $7,200)

A big risk/reward play, Fowles missed a huge part of the regular season with a calf injury. But she played 18 minutes in the team's last playoff game, and while her calf tightened up, she's had some days of rest since. I fully expect Fowles to be on the floor.

And when she plays, Fowles is such a force. In her seven regular season games, the veteran center averaged 14.6 points and 9.7 rebounds per game, along with 1.1 blocks. She had 15 points and 11 rebounds against the Storm.

The risk here is that even if Fowles plays, she ends up being limited. But in a GPP where you need to take risks, the upside that Fowles presents is just far too high for me to ignore her.

NFL DFS Prop Picks for Monday (9/21/20) - Monkey Knife Fight

The second Monday of the NFL season brings a compelling matchup between the New Orleans Saints and the Las Vegas Raiders. As always, the game presents many opportunities to play props and win with Monkey Knife Fight.

The Saints are coming off a 34-23 win against Tampa Bay in Week One, taking advantage of three Buccaneers turnovers to cruise to a comfortable victory. The Saints entered the season as one of the expected top teams in the NFC and they did nothing to alter that opinion.

In a tighter contest that involved seven lead changes, the Raiders ultimately prevailed with a 34-30 victory at Carolina. Expectations weren’t quite as high for Las Vegas this season but they were expected to be a competitive team.

That brings us to this Monday night game in which the Saints are favored but the Raiders may prove to be lively home underdogs in their first home game at Allegiant Stadium.

Here are some prop angles to consider for Monday’s New Orleans-Las Vegas NFL matchup on Monkey Knife Fight:

Editor's Note: Here's a great special offer for all RotoBaller readers from our Monkey Knife Fight friends: New AND Existing Player Bonus. MORE OR LESS

Drew Brees MORE THAN 268.5 PASSING YARDS

Although Brees was limited to just 160 yards passing in Week One, he did average more than 270 yards passing per game last season and that includes a game which he left with injury after throwing five passes. The Raiders allowed nearly 257 passing yards per game, the eighth-highest average in the league last season and surrendered 269 passing yards to Carolina’s Teddy Bridgewater in Week One.

The real question may be whether or not the Saints can find a way to replace the production of star wide receiver Michael Thomas, who will miss Monday night’s game due to a high ankle sprain.

Derek Carr LESS THAN 260.5 PASSING YARDS

The Raiders quarterback threw for 239 yards at Carolina in Week One and has averaged 246.8 passing yards per game in the past three seasons. New Orleans allowed 241.8 passing yards per game last season, which was a little higher than league average, but just 5.9 net yards per attempt, which was clearly better than average – it indicates a team that had strong pass defense but allowed more yardage because they were leading a lot of games so their opponents may have been more inclined to pass more frequently in order to catch up.

Josh Jacobs MORE THAN 66.5 RUSHING YARDS

In his impressive 2019 rookie season, Jacobs churned out 88.5 rushing yards per game and then he ran for 93 yards (and three touchdowns) in Week One at Carolina. While the Saints had a solid run defense last season – 91.8 rushing yards against per game was the fourth-lowest mark in the league – and allowed 86 yards, including 66 yards on 17 carries to Ronald Jones II, to Tampa Bay in Week One. This suggests that if Jacobs is the main ball carrier for the Raiders, and he is, then he will have a pretty decent shot at rushing for at least 67 yards.

Jared Cook MORE THAN 55.5 RECEIVING YARDS

The Saints tight end averaged 50.4 receiving yards per game last season and had five catches for 80 yards at Carolina in Week One. With Thomas injured, Cook should be a more frequent target for Brees and while he’s not as likely to burst over 100 yards, it’s reasonable to expect Cook to put up more than 55.

Alvin Kamara LESS THAN 22.5 FANTASY POINTS

One of the most talented playmakers in the league, Kamara was also held to 16 yards on 12 carries against Tampa Bay in Week One. He did, however, finish with 67 yards and two touchdowns because he added five catches for 51 yards. His use as a pass receiver does give him a leg up in the PPR scoring used by Monkey Knife Fight. At the same time, despite those two touchdowns in Week One, Kamara is at least somewhat at risk of losing some rushing touchdown opportunities to Latavius Murray and finding the end zone makes it much easier to get to 23 or more fantasy points. Kamara could get there but it won’t be easy so the under appears safer.

RAPID FIRE

Josh Jacobs -13.5 rushing yards vs. Alvin Kamara

Kamara’s value as a pass catcher also tends to obscure the fact that he doesn’t tend to put up huge rushing totals. Last season, he averaged 56.9 rushing yards per game, compared to Jacobs putting up 88.5 rushing yards per game. That’s enough of a spread to take Jacobs and hope that the Raiders can at least keep it close so that they get to run the ball.

Darren Waller -0.5 receptions vs. Emmanuel Sanders

Waller, the Raiders tight end, busted out last season to catch 90 passes, 5.6 per game, and opened the 2020 season with six catches for 45 yards on eight targets. Sanders had just three catches for 15 yards against Tampa Bay and caught more than five passes just three times last season while playing with Denver and San Francisco. Certainly, there is a bigger role for Sanders to play in the New Orleans offense with Michael Thomas out of the lineup but it’s pretty easy to envision Waller with half a dozen (or more) catches and still a little more difficult to see that for Sanders.

NFL DFS Prop Picks for Sunday (9/20/20) - Monkey Knife Fight

Heading into Week Two of the National Football League season there are many opportunities to play props and win with Monkey Knife Fight.

There is naturally a tendency to react, and maybe overreact, to the information coming out of Week One. It’s one thing if the information is injury related. That affects a player’s role and production. But usage is a tricky bit of information to navigate. Score effects have a lot to say about whether team is more likely to run or throw the ball so applying that to what will happen in Week Two may not connect the dots.

At the same time, there is new information available. Players on new teams or with new coaches can’t just be assumed to be the same as they were a year ago, so there is a balancing act to consider when deciding just how much of Week One should go into your evaluations for Week Two.

Here are some Star Shootout prop angles to consider for Sunday’s full NFL slate on Monkey Knife Fight:

Editor's Note: Here's a great special offer for all RotoBaller readers from our Monkey Knife Fight friends: New AND Existing Player Bonus. All players receive a 100% matched signup or reload bonus up to $50 with code 'BALLER'. Sign up and deposit, and use our prop picks to get off on a winning foot!

STAR SHOOTOUT - EARLY GAMES

View Contest

MORE OR LESS

Matt Ryan MORE THAN 304.5 PASSING YARDS

Last season, Ryan threw for 297.7 yards per game and then he dropped 450 yards on Seattle in Week One, with his top three receivers – Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, and Russell Gage – each getting targeted for a dozen passes each and all three finished with more than 100 receiving yards. The Cowboys gave up 275 passing yards to Jared Goff and the Rams in Week One, which isn’t the most encouraging sign and this game could easily turn into a track meet.

Dak Prescott MORE THAN 299.5 PASSING YARDS

In Week One at Atlanta, Seattle’s Russell Wilson completed 31 of 35 passes for 322 yards and four touchdowns. It was like the Falcons were barely providing any resistance at all. Although Prescott averaged 306.4 passing yards per game last season, he managed a more reasonable 266 at the Rams in Week One (though he could have gone over 300 if not for a questionable offensive pass interference call against Michael Gallup in the last minute). But, given the porous nature of Atlanta’s defense this could be a game in which Prescott gets to explore the space with his top three wide receivers: Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and rookie CeeDee Lamb.

Tom Brady LESS THAN 285.5 PASSING YARDS

The Bucs will look to bounce back against Carolina in Week Two, after a disappointing opener at New Orleans, and Brady doesn’t have an easy path. Star wide receiver Chris Godwin remains in concussion protocol and if he can’t play, that puts a lot of pressure on top wide receivers Mike Evans and Scott Miller with tight ends Rob Gronkowski and O.J. Howard. Like, there are still options there, but the Bucs offense isn’t as dangerous without Godwin. Although the Panthers allowed just 239 passing yards to Derek Carr in Week One, they allowed 8.0 net yards per pass attempt, the fourth-highest mark in the league.

Derrick Henry MORE THAN 96.5 RUSHING YARDS

This is a big number to cover. While Henry rushed for 116 yards Monday night against Denver, he also needed 31 carries to get there. The Titans will likely keep feeding Henry this week, especially with top wideout A.J. Brown injured. In Week One, against Indianapolis, the Jaguars allowed 88 rushing yards on 22 carries but they were among the worst against the run in 2019, surrendering 5.1 yards per carry, the second-highest average in the league.

Ezekiel Elliott LESS THAN 89.5 RUSHING YARDS

Elliott rushed for 96 yards in Dallas’ opening loss to the Rams and averaged 84.5 rushing yards per game last season so 90ish yards seems to be in the right neighborhood. The Falcons’ run defense wasn’t bad last season, allowing 110.9 rushing yards per game and 4.2 yards per carry, both of which were a little better than average, and as easily as the Seahawks moved the ball against Atlanta, they gained just 84 yards on the ground (on 20 carries).

RAPID FIRE

Julio Jones -3.5 receiving yards vs. Davante Adams

Adams was a bigger underdog in this head-to-head matchup last week (Jones was favored by 9.5 yards) and then both went off Sunday, with Julio accumulating 157 yards and Davante putting up 156. With the Falcons facing the Cowboys and the Packers taking on the Lions, it looks like another week in which it is reasonable to take underdog Adams plus the yardage.

STAR SHOOTOUT - LATE GAMES

View Contest

MORE OR LESS

Patrick Mahomes LESS THAN 305.5 PASSING YARDS

The Kansas City quarterback was great in the opener against Houston, wasn’t he? He was, and passed for a total of 211 yards. He averaged 287.9 passing yards per game last season and goes against a Chargers team that allowed a paltry 200.3 passing yards per game last season. The Chiefs might win comfortably but they also have the ground game to finish a game when they have the lead rather than continuing to throw the ball.

Kyler Murray LESS THAN 254.5 PASSING YARDS

This is a pretty big number attached to Murray, who isn’t afraid to tuck that ball and run when the opportunity presents itself (he rushed a career-high 13 times for 91 yards in last week’s win at San Francisco). He faces a Washington Football Team that allowed 270 passing yards to Philadelphia quarterback Carson Wentz in Week One so there is some vulnerability there but Washington’s pass defense was pretty average, in terms of yards allowed per game and per attempt, last season.

Lamar Jackson MORE THAN 25.5 FANTASY POINTS

Coming off an MVP campaign, Jackson looked even better in Week One, completing 80% of his passes on the way to throwing for 275 yards and three touchdowns while adding another 45 yards on the ground. Some of that surely falls on a questionable Cleveland defense but Jackson looks like he is going to be a handful for Houston this week, too. The Texans’ defense was below average last season and looked helpless at times against Kansas City in Week One so best of luck containing Jackson.

Deshaun Watson LESS THAN 19.5 FANTASY POINTS

Although Watson finished with respectable numbers in Week One, he padded those stats in what was effectively garbage time, after Kansas City had jumped out to a comfortable lead. That could very well happen again this week, taking on Baltimore, but if the expectation is that the team is overmatched, it’s tough to bank on garbage time production to get the job done.

RAPID FIRE

DeAndre Hopkins -7.5 receiving yards vs. Travis Kelce

In Week One, Kelce caught all six passes sent his way for a modest 50 yards. The Chiefs have a lot of weapons. The Cardinals don’t have quite as many and leaned much more heavily on Hopkins, who had a career-high 14 catches, on 16 targets, for 151 yards at San Francisco. Just based on expected usage right now, Hopkins is the choice.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire -3.5 rushing yards vs. Kenyan Drake

Kansas City’s rookie, Edwards-Helaire, ran for 138 yards on 25 carries in his NFL debut and looks for an encore against the Chargers, a team that was average against the run last season, in Week Two. Drake rushed 16 times for 60 yards against San Francisco but does get a better matchup this week, facing a Washington team that was one of the league’s worst against the run in 2019.

FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (9/19/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

The Miami Heat are the real deal. They swept the Indiana Pacers in Round 1, and then they disposed of the Milwaukee Bucks in five games with ease. A win over the Boston Celtics tonight will put them within one game of the NBA Finals, but it feels like they are still not getting the respect they deserve. Still, they have some excellent fantasy contributors, and they are an entertaining team to watch despite not being as superstar-driven as most championship contenders. The Celtics won't go down without a fight, though, and fans should expect another close battle in tonight's crucial Game 3.

The only big injury news is whether Gordon Hayward will return to the court and take some minutes away from his teammates. Hayward hasn't played in a game since August 17, and it seems hard to believe that he would be given a significant role in his first game back. Still, Boston is looking for any spark to get themselves back in the series, and maybe Hayward can provide a new look for a team on the brink of going down 3-0.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 9/19/20. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before lineups lock. Feel free to give me a follow on Twitter @EuanOrYouOut. Good luck.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Tyler Herro, SG - MIA vs. BOS ($10,000)

Herro has been a hero for the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, but his price is still lower than expected heading into tonight's Game 3. The guard is averaging the most fantasy points per game over his last five games between the two teams at 33.96 points. However, he is the seventh most-expensive player for the Single Game contest on Saturday. Herro has shown his versatility in this round, where he nearly had a triple-double in Game 1 with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. Get the rookie on your team and

Marcus Smart, SG - BOS vs. MIA ($9,500)

Fantasy players may be fading Smart tonight with news that Gordon Hayward is questionable and may return for Game 3. However, that shouldn't scare them off too much as Smart has worked hard and earned himself a significant role on this team, and Hayward would be playing in his first game since August 17. Smart's 23.77 FPPG over his last 10 games is fourth among all players tonight, but he comes in as the ninth most expensive option. The guard is a major bang for your buck play, and he should be started with confidence as the Celtics look to get back in the series and keep their playoff hopes alive.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Jayson Tatum, PF - BOS vs. MIA ($16,000)

Tatum is the choice for the MVP slot in tonight's Single Game contest. The third-year forward has been lights out in the playoffs despite a disappointing outing in Game 2. Over his last 10 games, Tatum is averaging 40.52 FPPG, and that puts him a whole eight points ahead of Bam Adebayo on tonight's slate. For the entire playoffs, the 22-year-old is averaging 25.3 points, 10 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.2 blocks, one steal, and 2.7 made threes per game. He can win a contest on any given night as he has produced at least 55 fantasy points in three of his last four games.

Bam Adebayo, PF - MIA vs. BOS ($15,000)

We may be witnessing the rise of the best young center in today's game, and he is taking over this series. Adebayo is averaging 19.5 points, eight rebounds, 6.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks over the first two games while the Boston Celtics struggle to find answers to stop him. The big man has scored at least 44 fantasy in six of his last eight games and is having on a postseason breakout that daily players have enjoyed for a couple of months.

Jae Crowder, SF - MIA vs. BOS ($9,500)

Crowder was a massive factor in Game 1 of this series when he scored a playoff-high 22 points for the Miami Heat. In Game 2, he came back and added 12 more points along with four rebounds, two assists, and three steals. The forward has been producing outstanding returns on his value the entire postseason, and it should continue tonight. He has knocked down at least three shots from downtown in the last seven games and is averaging 15.3 points on 42.9 percent three-point shooting. The eight-year veteran has a concrete floor for fantasy managers because of his sharp shooting skills and ability to contribute in other categories when necessary.
