5 months agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Dane Dunning only last two-thirds of an inning in his Game 3 start against the Oakland Athletics in the wild-card series on Thursday. It was expected that the rookie would be on a short leash, and after allowing a pair of hits, manager Rick Renteria pulled the plug. Dunning is a name to remember in 2021 and has a bright future ahead of him for fantasy owners.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller

5 months agoThe Chicago White Sox have named rookie starting pitcher Dane Dunning the Game 3 starter of Thursday’s wild-card matchup against the Oakland Athletics. Dunning performed well in seven starts for the White Sox and was 2-0 with a 3.97 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 34 innings over seven starts. Dunning is coming off of his two worst appearances as a big leaguer and could have a short leash in a game the White Sox must win to advance to the ALDS. Dunning has a bright future ahead of him, but there are better options available in DFS on Thursday.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
