5 months agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and his second home run of the postseason against the Rays on Thursday, giving the 23-year-old a 1.009 OPS through six postseason games this year. Lower body injuries and a slow start to the regular season left Torres with a middling .724 OPS for the regular season, but he’d gotten back into a groove in September with a .842 OPS for the month and an upwards-trending xwOBA, and fantasy managers should expect Torres to maintain an OPS above .850 for the rest of the postseason as a result.--Sam Chinitz - RotoBaller

5 months agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres went 4-for-4 with a walk and a two-run home run against the Indians and ace Shane Bieber in Game 1 of their wild-card series on Tuesday. Torres had been heating up towards the end of the season with an .842 OPS in September, and that hot streak appears to have carried into the postseason with his strong Tuesday performance. Torres has been one of baseball’s best offensive middle infielders with an .849 OPS and 62 home runs between 2018 and 2019, and fantasy managers should expect the 23-year-old to continue playing well through the rest of the playoffs.--Sam Chinitz - RotoBaller
