Recent Update

6 months agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell has failed to make an impact 80 at-bats into his career heading into Friday. Adell really impressed the coaching staff during Spring Training but is slashing only .163/.230/.263 with 35 strikeouts through those 80 plate appearances during the regular season. Young players struggling out of the gate is nothing new to most major-leaguers and, outside of a two-home run performance August 29, Adell is taking his bumps right now. He still possesses value in dynasty and keeper leagues but is completely unplayable right now.--Joey C - RotoBaller

Older News

7 months agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell is out of Saturday’s starting lineup against the Dodgers and right-hander Walker Buehler. Manager Joe Maddon mentioned before the game that Adell would return to the lineup Sunday when the team is set to face right-hander Dustin May. Taylor Ward takes over in place of Adell, getting his first start in a week. It has been a rough acclimation to big league pitching for Adell, who has whiffed in 13 of his first 25 Major League plate appearances. While the potential remains massive for the Angels’ top prospect, he is best left on the wire in most season-long formats until he begins to showcase his speed and power potential.--Jesse Borek - RotoBaller
