BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 51% of leagues
ANALYSIS: It's fascinating how this deep into the season writing about the Los Angeles Lakers and about the Brooklyn Nets is virtually the same, and entirely because of the wrong reasons. Anyway, we're here to discuss a bona fide positive the Nets found as recently as last year when he started to ball for the BKN and turned into a nice contributor for them. Still 25 years old, Brown has gone from starting at the point in Detroit to manning the SF/PF position for the Nets in a rather impressive fashion.
The absolute barrage of injuries and other maladies the Nets have gone through has surely helped Brown find a way to the starting lineup. That doesn't take from his efforts to getting the nod, though, as he's simply excelling this season given his past. Brown has strung 12 consecutive starts in the past month of play (12-for-12 from Feb. 12 to Mar. 12, curiously) while averaging a sizeable 31 MPG in those matches. The usage is low, because Brown is sharing the floor with a unit that has heavily boasted the likes of James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving, so you get an idea.
Even then, though, Brown is scoring 13+ PPG in the past month while shooting a marvelous 55% from the floor in that span even while averaging a three-point shot per game--in other words, he's got great percentages though he stretches the floor a bit, contrary to other typical high-percentage shooters. Brown's PPG might go down a bit with KD back in full force and Irving potentially playing every game, but his steals (1.6 SPG in the past month) and blocks (0.6) should stay up no matter what. Starter at least until Ben Simmons comes back, which might not happen until the last few games of the regular season.

The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to […]
Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if […]
Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are […]
Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has […]
Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season.
