2013 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups: Week 6 Tight Ends (TE)

In this space, we will highlight recommended fantasy football waiver wire pickups to consider as candidates for Week Six of the 2013 fantasy football season, and your fantasy football rosters.

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups: Week 6 Tight Ends

TylerEifertTyler Eifert (TE, Cincinnati Bengals)  Eifert has played great for the Bengals, and in his last game, he caught five passes for 53 yards against New England. He will face a Buffalo squad that's allowing 261.4 pass yards per game, which is a juicy matchup.  Eifert has had just one bad game, which came against the Packers, where he caught just one pass for seven yards.  Judging from past performances, you can expect him to catch at least four passes for about 50 yards this week.

Garrett Graham (TE, Houston Texans) Graham struggled against the 49ers, only catching three passes for 15 yards. This was a bit of a shock, considering how well he had played in the previous week against Seattle, catching five passes for 69 yards and a touchdown. More importantly, Owens is out for 4-6 weeks and this gives Graham a huge opportunity.  In Week Six, Graham gets a Rams defense that is 17th in passing yards allowed, so he should be able to work the separation he needs to put up some solid fantasy numbers.

Heath Miller (TE, Pittsburgh Steelers) Miller was good in Week Four against the Vikings, catching six passes for 70 yards, following up a Week Three three-for-35 performance.  That gives him nine receptions on 12 targets for 105 yards over his last two games.  It looks he starting to play well and is recovering from his injury with no lingering effects.  His Week Six opponent the Jets have a good defense that allows only 222.8 pass yards per game, but they gave up 97 yards to Tony Gonzalez, so Miller could certainly have a similar game against them.

Charles Clay (TE, Miami Dolphins)  Clay has been a monster for Miami this season, catching 23 passes for 297 yards. He has caught touchdown passes in each of his last two games. In last week's game against the Ravens, Clay averaged 17.3 yards per catch, and he is averaging 12.9 per catch for the season. There's little doubt at this point that he deserves to be in your lineup week-in and week-out. Keep in mind Miami is on BYE this week, but Clay is worth a stash on your bench if you have the room.
