BALLER MOVE: Target in Mid Rounds as QB1
CURRENT ADP: 99 STD, 108 PPR
ANALYSIS: It may come as a surprise to some that Ryan Tannehill was the eighth highest scoring fantasy quarterback last season. His 4,000+ passing yards, 27 touchdowns and 12 interceptions placed him ahead of divisional foe and future Hall of Famer Tom Brady. Still, despite his impressive performance, he can be seen pretty low on draft boards for 2015, behind Joe Flacco, Carson Palmer and Robert Griffin III sometmes.
In his three seasons in the NFL, Tannehill has never missed a game and has consistently improved from year to year. His completion percentage has improved from 58.3% as a rookie to 66.4% in 2014, and his passer rating has grown from 76.1 in 2012 to 92.8 last season.
In 2014, he ranked 31st in yards per completion and 28th in yards per attempt, but those numbers should improve with the additions of Jordan Cameron, Greg Jennings, Kenny Stills and DeVante Parker. Miami has a decent offensive line, headlined by Brandon Albert and Mike Pouncey, and Lamar Miller can help open up the field for Tannehill.
Tannehill is incredibly underrated, and he presents incredible value as a sleeper in the draft. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him sneak into the top-five highest scoring quarterbacks in 2015.
