BALLER MOVE: Target in Last Round
CURRENT ADP: 296 STD, 304 PPR
ANALYSIS: In college at Mississippi, Brandon Bolden averaged over 10 yards per catch in each of his four seasons.
In three seasons with the Patriots, Bolden has scored six touchdowns on 164 touches. When Shane Vereen went down with a fractured wrist in 2013, Bolden saw action in four games, including a six-catch, 40-yard performance.
Vereen, who is now a member of the Giants, finished with the fifth most receptions for a running back last year, so you know the Patriots like to use their backs in the passing game.
Travaris Cadet, Bolden's main competitor for passing downs, is dealing with a pulled hamstring, and James White has failed to impress since being drafted in 2014.
The Patriots have had a back with at least 40 catches in each of the past three seasons. Given Bolden's anonymity, he is worth a flier in the last round. Whether or not he is holding down his role should become clear very quickly, and if he isn't, dropping your last round pick isn’t a big deal.
