BALLER MOVE: Target in Late Rounds in PPR Leagues
Current ADP: 131 STD, 123 PPR
ANALYSIS: Charles Sims was an excellent pass-catching back in college, where he caught at least 37 passes in each of his four college seasons, including 70 as a freshman.
Despite playing 100 fewer snaps than Doug Martin last season, Sims had more targets, receptions and yards. He totaled 19 catches for 190 yards in just eight games as a rookie coming off a broken ankle.
Martin was dead last among all qualifying backs with just 4.9 yards per catch, so there is no reason to give him targets with Sims, who doubled Martin’s yards per catch, still on the roster.
Over a full, healthy season, Sims should be a safe bet for at least 40 receptions, which would give him nice value as a late pick in a PPR league.
