BALLER MOVE: Target ~160
CURRENT ADP: 166
ANALYSIS: The Jets allowed just 5,098 yards of total offense last year, the fourth fewest in football. They were particularly impermeable on the ground, as opposing teams ran the ball into the end zone just four times all year. In the off-season, New York extended Muhammad Wilkerson and added linebackers Darron Lee and Jordan Jenkins early in the draft.
Other notable players include David Harris, Sheldon Richardson, Leonard Williams, Calvin Pryor, Buster Skrine and Darrelle Revis. Jets defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers has a deep crop of talent to work with and a unit that had tremendous success a year ago.
Top returners Antonio Cromartie and Jeremy Kerley are gone, but Jeremy Ross should fill in nicely in both roles. There is no reason the Jets can’t finish as a top-five defense, and they can be scooped up pretty late on draft day.
