Tight Ends to Target in Dynasty League
Devalve was the biggest reach of the 2016 NFL Draft, as he was projected to go undrafted before the Browns selected him in the fourth round. As his undrafted projection may hint at, he isn't ready to make an impact in the NFL this season. He should not be considered in re-draft leagues.
Devalve is a player that will likely go overlooked. People won't know much about him, but he played wide receiver at Princeton. He's going to move to tight end in the NFL, but he could become a "move" tight end during his career. The Browns obviously loved him, as they made sure they were able to get him by selecting him well before anyone else likely would have even considered him. He's only an option in the deepest dynasty leagues, and still then he's a risky option.
Duarte was an interesting prospect, as he could have been drafted as a wide receiver, but he added weight to move to tight end and help his draft stock. He was selected in the seventh round by the Dolphins, which was around where he was projected to go. He's a great athlete for a tight end, and he could work his way onto the field his rookie season. He likely isn't going to make a huge impact his first season, though, and he isn't a great option in re-draft leagues.
Duarte tested at elite levels during the NFL Combine for a tight end. He's a bit weak, but he's a big body that should be able to beat linebackers and safeties in the passing game. The Dolphins tight ends were awful last season, and Duarte will likely become their best move tight end sooner rather than later. He's a good dynasty league option, as he has loads of upside for a tight end in the NFL.
