Dak Prescott
Prescott was an extremely successful player at Mississippi State and the Cowboys selected him in the fourth round of the NFL Draft. He could win the backup job to Tony Romo this season, but he won't see the field unless an injury occurs, which means he shouldn't be considered in re-draft leagues.
He does have good dynasty potential, though. He needs to become a bit more consistent, but he's a great athlete and he displayed a good arm at Mississippi State. The Cowboys could groom him to become their next franchise quarterback once Romo retires, but that's a few years away. He can be drafted in deep dynasty leagues.
Kevin Hogan
Hogan fell down draft boards because of his awkward delivery and inconsistencies at Stanford. The Chiefs drafted him to be a backup quarterback late in the fifth round. They lost Chase Daniels to free agency this offseason, and Hogan will have the opportunity to become Kansas City's new backup quarterback. He might not even see the field this season with an injury, and he isn't an option in re-draft leagues.
The NFL is grooming quarterbacks as backups before trading them to become starters on other teams. The Chiefs may be doing this with Hogan, who has all the tools to become an NFL starter, but he needs to work on his mechanics, which will help his throwing accuracy. He could eventually become a starter, and he can be considered in dynasty formats because of this.
