Position, Team, NFL Draft Spot: WR, Cleveland Browns, 4.14
Dynasty Positional Rank: 100+
Redraft Target Round: Unranked, not viable for 2016
Analysis: The Browns clearly set a goal to improve their wide receiver situation in the NFL Draft. The drafted a total of four wide receivers and one tight end. In the middle of the fourth round, Ricardo Louis was the second receiver selected for the Cleveland Browns.
Louis is a bit of a raw prospect, as he only had one season to display all of his receiving skills at Auburn. Before his senior season, he was essentially a catch and run type of player, but his role grew once Duke Williams was dismissed from the team. He displayed the ability to be a downfield threat, as he has decent size with good speed. He does have questionable hands, though, which is a bit of a concern. He was drafted into an ideal situation, as Corey Coleman is the only receiver guaranteed a spot ahead of him. Louis likely isn’t going to make a huge impact his rookie season, but he is a player that is worthy of being selected in re-draft leagues.
Louis has good upside in dynasty leagues. He could gain valuable experience this season, and earn his role in the Browns offense. He has the physical tools to be a good player in the NFL, but he does come with questionable hands. Louis will never be an elite NFL receiver, but he could be an option for the Browns for the next few years.
