BALLER MOVE: Target ~125
CURRENT ADP: ~140
ANALYSIS: Owners continue to invest in Jay Ajayi and, for the life of us, we will never understand why. Do we continue to chase perceived value from his 2016 season, where 49% of his yards game in three games? Ajayi has only ran for 100 yards in a game twice since he ran for over 200 in Week 15 of 2016. The Eagles have a great coaching staff, one that recognizes having Ajayi on the field is critical to their success in 2018. That is why his role will be limited.
Philadelphia Eagles running back Corey Clement, while he did not have a big role in 2017, caught four balls for 100 yards and a touchdown in Super Bowl 52 against the Patriots. The time to buy is right now though, because that role will increase dramatically moving forward. Clement’s current ADP sits at 129.4, but that could change dramatically next season. Ajayi has never played 16 games in a season and the most he has ever started are 12 games. Also add in that the Eagles can walk away from Ajayi at the end of the season. If Clement proves at any point this year he is capable of handling the starting duties in Philadelphia, he could have the same hype as Kenyan Drake this season who has a current ADP of 43.5.
