Bryce Harper Stumping For Kris Bryant
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper, who won the National League MVP last year, is stumping for free-agent third baseman Kris Bryant, who is one of his good friends and neighbor in Las Vegas. The Phillies have plenty of needs and also options in free agency, and Bryant can fit at either the hot corner or in the outfield. The Seattle Mariners, Colorado Rockies, San Diego Padres and New York Mets could be fits for Bryant if he isn't swayed to Philadelphia by Harper. The 30-year-old four-time All-Star and 2016 MVP hit .262/.344/.444 with seven home runs and 22 RBI in 212 plate appearances over 51 games in 2021 after being acquired in a trade with the Chicago Cubs. In total, Bryant hit .265/.353/.481 with 25 homers, 73 RBI and 10 stolen bases in 144 games.
