Texans Bringing Back Jeff Driskel
3 years agoThe Houston Texans are re-signing quarterback Jeff Driskel and will give him a shot at quarterback again after trying him at tight end. Driskel will return on a one-year deal for the 2022 season. The 28-year-old finished last year on Injured Reserve after fracturing his collarbone in December. In four NFL seasons, Driskel has played in 16 games (nine starts) and has thrown for 2,120 yards, 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions with the Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos. Davis Mills was impressive in his rookie season when forced into the starting role due to an injury to Tyrod Taylor. The Texans are expected to trade Deshaun Watson this offseason and will likely bring in more help at the position. Driskel is well off the fantasy radar.
