Carlos Rodon Agrees With Giants
3 years agoThe San Francisco Giants agreed to a two-year, $44 million deal with left-hander Carlos Rodon on Friday, according to sources familiar with the deal. The contract includes an opt-out clause after the first season. It's an excellent landing spot for the 29-year-old southpaw starter in terms of fantasy outlook. Rodon has had trouble with injuries and walks in the past, but he put it all together in 2021 with the Chicago White Sox, posting a 2.37 ERA and 34.6% strikeout rate in 132 2/3 innings over 24 starts in his first All-Star season. He'll be a high-reward, high-risk fantasy starter, and his fantasy ADP will only go up after this signing.
