3 years agoThree teams have shown interest in free-agent first baseman/designated hitter Albert Pujols, according to sources. The addition of the DH to the National League has widened the market for the future Hall of Famer. Pujols was one of the best hitters of all time in his prime, but he's now 42 years old and hit just .236/.284/.433 with 17 home runs and 50 RBI in 296 plate appearances over 109 games with the Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Dodgers in 2021. If the man they used to call the Machine lands with another team before the 2022 season, he'll likely just be a bench bat against left-handed pitching, leaving him little fantasy appeal in the deepest of leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
